Job Title: Senior Director, Communications & Public Relations

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director, Communications & Public Relations to join our dynamic Marketing & Communications team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance our brand reputation, drive engagement, and support our business objectives. You will lead a team of talented professionals, manage media relations, craft compelling narratives, and oversee crisis communications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
* Oversee and manage all public relations activities, including media outreach, press releases, and spokesperson preparation.
* Lead the creation and dissemination of key messaging and content across various platforms.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders.
* Manage and mitigate reputational risks through effective crisis communication strategies.
* Mentor, coach, and develop a team of communications professionals.
* Monitor media coverage and analyze communication effectiveness, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
* Manage the communications budget and allocate resources effectively.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
* 10+ years of progressive experience in communications and public relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
* Extensive experience in media relations, with strong established relationships with national and international media.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and crafting compelling narratives.
* Demonstrated experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
* Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in PR software and tools.
