We are looking for a CTO / Head of Engineering (hands-on) for a gaming project focused on CS2 and Dota 2 cases and skins.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead the engineering team as a Team Lead/Head of Engineering/CTO.
* Hands-on involvement in architecture and development, primarily with PHP (Laravel).
* Build and manage teams of 8-20 people, focusing on processes, delivery, hiring, and performance management.
* Exhibit high ownership and drive.
* Hands-on experience with AI agents, both for personal use and for guiding the team.
* Conduct an audit, set metrics, establish delivery rhythms, and stabilize CI/CD.
* Improve code quality, reduce reopens, and enhance the delivery process (WIP limits, DoD, FE/BE contracts).
* Launch FE performance engineering and improve observability.
* Rebuild the team through performance management and hiring strong FTEs.
* Implement LLM best practices within the SDLC.
* Drive the engineering system to be faster and higher quality, elevating the team’s technical bar.
* Take ownership of development, from technologies and architecture to people management.

**Tech Stack:**

* **Frontend:** TS, Vue 3, Vite, Nuxt 3
* **Backend:** Laravel (PHP 8.2.9), Golang (for new microservices), Phalcon (PHP 7.1.33) in monolith
* **Data & Cache:** MariaDB, Redis
* **Async / Queues:** RabbitMQ
* **Infrastructure:** OVHcloud, Kubernetes

**Must-haves:**

* Experience developing delivery processes in an engineering team.
* Confident hands-on skills (code/architecture).
* High ownership (technical, people management, communication with business and stakeholders).
* Experience managing 6-20 engineers (backend, frontend, ideally QA and DevOps).
* Successful implementation of LLMs in personal and team workflows (guardrails, code review, testing, etc.).
* Good observability practices.

**Nice-to-haves:**

* Full-stack background.
* FE performance expertise on the specified stack (animations, rendering, profiling).
* Experience building high-load backend architectures.
* Interest in gaming and esports for cultural fit.
