As an Engineering Lead of Customer Tribe at Bank of Georgia, you will be responsible for managing the engineering team, nurturing talents, providing technical guidance, and optimizing development processes to ensure seamless and continuous product delivery. You will collaborate with Agile teams specializing in various business products and a wide range of technology.
Responsibilities:
* Directly manage and provide technical leadership to individuals within the team. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing technical team, fostering their growth and development.
* Develop and implement best practice engineering vision, strategies, policies, and processes to enhance team performance.
* Translate high-level business requirements into scalable solution designs, including system architecture, process flows, and integration patterns, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Evaluate and define optimal technical solutions (including off-the-shelf and custom-built systems), collaborating with stakeholders to ensure feasibility, efficiency, and successful delivery.
* Drive architectural design, engineering efficiency, and optimize the development process to ensure continuous product delivery.
* Provide technical support to business development, estimating, and onsite engineering teams.
* Understand project scope, project goals, product functionality, and desired features.
* Identify and assist in resolving issues, questions, and scope/requirements gaps quickly and effectively enable delivery and support of applications.
* Help determine the level of effort and time required for solution delivery.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues in production and external customer-facing environments.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 4-5 years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology.
* Experience working with customer-facing systems, products, or customer-related processes is mandatory.
* Knowledge of legal entity onboarding processes will be considered an advantage.
* Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Technologies, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, capable of leading highly technical individuals effectively.
* Ability to foster effective teamwork within and across teams, driving collaboration and synergy.
* Proven ability to optimize team performance and development through effective leadership and management skills.
* Experience in interviewing, onboarding, and developing new employees. Proficiency in developing and leading training programs.
* Enjoy learning new technologies, development approaches and putting them into use for process improvement.
* Ability to write clearly and concisely and to communicate effectively in Georgian, and English.
