Location: Remote from Europe (working hours: day time CET)
The Role:
We’re on the lookout for a Lead Frontend Developer (React) to join a fast-moving crypto casino that’s pushing the boundaries of online gaming. In this role, you’ll take the reins on frontend development (React), and build and mentor our new in-house FE team from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Full ownership of the website’s frontend
* Lead all aspects of FE development, maintenance, and release delivery.
* Translate product requirements into performant, scalable, and maintainable code.
* Enforce FE best practices: version control, code review standards, testing, and documentation.
Performance and responsiveness improvements
* Audit and optimize rendering, load times, and interactivity.
* Achieve and maintain Core Web Vitals targets across all key pages.
* Implement monitoring and automated checks for performance regressions.
Modern UX implementation
* Partner with design to evolve the site’s look and feel using modern frameworks and patterns.
* Build and maintain a unified component library and design system.
* Ensure mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser consistency.
Cross-functional collaboration
* Work closely with backend, product, and DevOps teams to align on architecture and delivery timelines.
* Contribute to planning, estimation, and release management.
* Communicate risks, trade-offs, and progress transparently to leadership.
Technical stewardship
* Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize the FE stack.
* Drive incremental improvements to developer experience (DX) and deployment workflows.
* You always keep your documentation up to date.
What You Bring:
* 6+ years of professional experience in front-end web development with leadership experience.
* Deep proficiency in React – hooks, component lifecycle, performance optimization, and modern patterns
* Strong expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
* Proven experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar)
* Experience building applications with Next.js or other SSR/SSG frameworks
* Skilled in CSS architecture, responsive design, and component-driven development
* Comfortable working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
* Familiarity with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, or similar) and CI/CD workflows
* Nice to have: TypeScript experience; familiarity with other frameworks (Vue, Angular, Stencil.js)
