**Job Description:**
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join the team and develop one of the leading trading platforms in the USA. This role involves building and owning backend services, infrastructure, and data systems, focusing on high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance. The responsibilities include handling all business processes related to trading, such as order issuance, validation, routing, execution, option price calculation, and reconciliation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Build and own backend services, infrastructure, and data systems.
* Solve complex scalability challenges.
* Ensure high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance.
* Maintain high code quality through careful code reviews and various types of testing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
**Qualifications:**
* 3+ years of backend development experience.
* Strong proficiency in Go or Python.
* Solid understanding of system design principles.
* Experience with Kafka (or similar streaming platforms).
* Proven experience delivering large technical projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Strong focus on maintaining high code quality and participating in thorough code review processes.
* B2+ English proficiency.
**Considered a plus:**
* Fintech or trading background.
* Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Kubernetes, AWS (or similar cloud platforms).
* Experience working in high-load systems.
* Hands-on experience in concurrent programming and understanding of thread synchronization approaches.
**Working hours:** Availability is required until 10:00 PM in Georgia to support collaboration with the team and stakeholders working in the Pacific Time Zone.
