We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join an established client in the telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and improve applications built with Ruby on Rails
* Investigate production issues, analyze logs, and identify root causes
* Optimize system performance and database interactions
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
* Collaborate closely with QA and Product teams to ensure smooth delivery
* Contribute to technical discussions and system improvements
* Maintain high engineering standards and delivery quality
Requirements:
* Solid experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments
* Comfortable working in a Linux-based production environment (command line and shell tools required)
* Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including understanding how Rails interacts with the database
* Ability to write and optimize basic SQL queries
* Strong analytical and debugging skills
* Professional communication skills with the ability to bridge technical updates and stakeholder needs
* Experience working in cross-functional teams
* Strong commitment to clean code, testing, and attention to detail
Nice to Have:
* Hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript
* Familiarity with Unix systems administration (Rsync, Systemd, SSH tunnels)
* Knowledge of JSON: API, OpenAPI/Swagger
* Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Background in DCIM tools, energy management, or data center domains
