Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Oriented) – PerfectScale by DoiT – (Georgia)
**Location:**
United Kingdom, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel (remote), or East Europe and Portugal (contractors).

**The Opportunity:**
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Oriented), you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling the backend services that power PerfectScale’s data pipelines, APIs, and business logic. You will collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to deliver user-facing features built on robust, distributed systems.
**Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver elegant and well-thought-out solutions for complex problems.
* Implement features from proposal through design and implementation to maintenance.
* Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices and ensure clean code and best practices during code reviews.
* Improve the health of the codebase by addressing technical debt.
* Participate in planning and discussions for upcoming work, providing feedback to identify challenges and unknowns early.
**Qualifications:**
* Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
* 6+ years of Backend or Full Stack development experience.
* At least 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
* 2+ years of experience with high traffic/high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
* Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance, schema, and query optimization. ClickHouse and PostgreSQL are advantageous.
* Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers (Docker).
* Experience and passion for distributed systems design and infrastructure.
* Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD).
* A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
* Proactive, can-do approach with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough, and tenacious individual.
**Bonus Points:**
* Hands-on, production experience with K8S.
* Hands-on, production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Experience with data engineering, including streaming and batch processing (Spark, Trino, Iceberg, ClickHouse, Parquet).
