We are seeking a DevOps Tech Lead/Manager with strong technical expertise to drive the success of our cloud and DevOps initiatives. This DevOps role is a combination of technical leadership and strong communication skills. You will lead a team of 7 DevOps engineers, working across security, API management, infrastructure and more.
In this role, you will guide a cross-functional team, foster collaboration between engineering and business stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
The emphasis is on a person who knows how to execute tasks, and—most importantly—how to articulate, communicate, and compellingly share what they’ve accomplished, including the challenges faced.
Primary focus will be on effective communication, team leadership, and process optimization, while maintaining a strong technical presence and hands-on involvement if needed.
**Responsibilities:**
* Lead and mentor a team of 7 DevOps engineers promoting best practices in CI/CD infrastructure automation and cloud-native development.
* Act as the primary point of contact between the technical team and business stakeholders ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
* Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, driving automation and consistency in software delivery.
* Guide the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates to enable scalable and repeatable environments.
* Ensure secure, compliant, and reliable deployment of cloud-native services.
* Oversee monitoring, observability, and incident response processes using Application Insights and Log Analytics, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.
* Facilitate integration of AI capabilities.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and post-incident learning within the team.
**Requirements:**
* Proven experience leading DevOps teams or projects with a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
* Deep expertise in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design, and infrastructure automation (Bicep, Terraform, ARM).
* Hands-on technical skills with Azure Functions, API Management, AKS/Container Apps, API Gateway, Web Apps, and WAF.
* Proficiency in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management using Application Insights and Log Analytics.
* Background in .NET development with experience in API and cloud integration.
* Demonstrated ability to ensure production readiness, lead incident response, and conduct post-incident reviews.
* Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes operations and container orchestration.
* Familiarity with DevSecOps and AI-powered automation/search solutions.
* Fluent communication skills in English at a B2+ level.
