We are seeking an experienced Regional Platform Engineering Manager to lead and oversee platform engineering efforts across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in platform engineering, cloud technologies, software development, and infrastructure management, along with demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects and teams. This position is pivotal in advancing our organization’s capabilities, offerings, and core competencies.

Responsibilities:
Organizational:
* Manage and expand the Platform Engineering function to enhance business capabilities across multiple regions
* Support team members by fostering their professional growth and career progression
* Develop a strategic vision for the Platform Engineering unit, including structure-building, recruiting engineers, and overseeing staffing needs
* Create and lead teams of highly skilled Platform Engineers committed to excellence
* Advance organizational capabilities through the introduction of platform engineering offerings and reusable accelerators
Technical:
* Act as a primary technical representative for clients, ensuring alignment with their requirements
* Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable platform solutions
* Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery processes
* Leverage tools like Terraform and Crossplane to establish infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for scalable infrastructure management
* Build internal developer portals with tools like Backstage to improve developer efficiency
* Create and manage observability platforms with features like monitoring, logging, and tracing to maintain system performance
* Implement and maintain scalable container platforms leveraging Kubernetes and other modern technologies
* Promote automation in testing, deployment, and operational workflows to reduce manual overhead
Requirements:
* Professional experience in platform engineering, cloud technologies, and infrastructure management
* Knowledge of cloud computing architectures and cloud service offerings
* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, system monitoring, and security standards
* Proven capability to manage and maintain production infrastructures using tools such as Terraform and Crossplane
* Experience in building and maintaining internal developer portals using tools like Backstage
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices
* Competency in container platforms and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
* Strong leadership ability with a track record of managing high-performing teams
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Background in designing and architecting large-scale systems
* Understanding of emerging AI/LLM trends and their implications on development workflows
Nice to have:
* Background in multi-cloud management or hybrid cloud strategies
* Familiarity with emerging DevOps tools or alternative container orchestrators
* Showcase of expertise in edge computing or IoT solutions
* Skills in systems programming for optimizing platform-level performance
* Flexibility to utilize open-source tools and frameworks beyond mainstream solutions
