We are seeking a dynamic SAP Basis Engineering Manager to lead a team of skilled professionals, overseeing the management, optimization, and innovation of SAP systems while ensuring alignment with business needs and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of SAP Basis engineers, fostering professional growth and delivering high-quality services.
Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of SAP systems, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret business requirements and advise on SAP solution architecture.
Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and patches with minimal disruption to operations.
Define and enforce best practices and standards for SAP Basis processes aligned with organizational tools.
Monitor SAP system performance, identify potential issues, and ensure timely resolutions.
Coordinate closely with infrastructure and cloud teams for effective SAP system management in cloud environments.
Prioritize workloads and allocate resources to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Drive initiatives for innovation, efficiency, and cost-effective solutions in the Basis practice.
Provide strategic recommendations on resource planning, team development, and delivery improvement.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in SAP Basis, covering NW as ABAP (SAP S/4HANA Platform) & NW as Java, Webdisp, Content Servers.
Background in SAP HANA & ASE DB administration, including tuning of ABAP & Java parameters and DB parameter optimization.
Expertise in archiving processes including object configuration, job planning, performance issue resolution, and execution monitoring.
Familiarity with backup and restore techniques, NSE, Smart Data Integration, and Smart Data Access.
Understanding of data growth analysis, indexing, partitioning, and performance analysis within SAP platforms.
Proficiency in English at a B2 level.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of SAP GRC, ACP, SAP SLT, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, OpenText.
Background in third-party backup tools like Commvault.
Understanding of Single Sign On methods such as Kerberos, X509, SAML, oAuth, and platforms including Okta and SLS.
Competency in SAP Solution Manager features like CHARM, system monitoring, and EWA.
Showcase of SAP BTP, Data Intelligence, and SAP Analytics Cloud capabilities.
