We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior DevOps Engineer** to join our team, specializing in AWS and automation.
In this role, you will manage and optimize infrastructure, drive automation and scripting initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and flexible systems. Your expertise in Windows administration, cloud services, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be critical to delivering reliable solutions aligned with industry best practices.

**Responsibilities**
* Install and manage Windows workstations connected to scientific instruments to ensure device reliability and security
* Develop permissions and policies for secure access alongside robust security frameworks
* Deploy and maintain Windows workloads on AWS, including the implementation of disaster recovery and backup systems
* Design tools to automate processes such as installation, patching, and monitoring using AWS services and scripting languages
* Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for efficient infrastructure provisioning
* Utilize Configuration as Code (CaC) tools such as Ansible to streamline system configurations
* Collaborate on high standards for system monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch and Splunk
* Facilitate secure and effective networking setups by focusing on protocols and security principles
* Ensure adherence to best practices for system scalability, flexibility, and high availability
**Requirements**
* 3+ years of Windows administration experience, including expertise in managing Windows Server and Workstations
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and secure access protocols
* Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and AWS IAM for access management
* Background in automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting
* Showcase of skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform
* Competency in Configuration as Code (CaC) tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
* Experience with backup systems including AWS Backup and on-prem platforms like Veeam
* Qualifications in disaster recovery planning and strategies for cloud and on-prem environments
* Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, or equivalent
* Basic understanding of network protocols with a focus on security principles
* English level: B2+ or higher
**Nice to have**
* Familiarity with AWS Lambda for enhancing serverless workflows
* Understanding of Splunk or similar logging tools for advanced monitoring
* Background in disaster recovery design for scientific environments
