EPAM is looking for a talented Prompt Engineer to join our team in Nicosia, working with one of our clients in the insurance industry, in a flexible hybrid work setup.
As a Prompt Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Generative AI technologies within the organization. This includes designing, developing and optimizing prompts for large language models (LLMs), building AI-powered solutions and scaling the operational use of Generative AI across various business domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform bold ideas into actionable and scalable AI products.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement prompt logic and orchestration flows across GenAI use cases (e.g., chatbot, CMD, DN creation)
* Apply principles of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Agentic AI to production use cases
* Support AI Governance activities, including documentation, validation and Responsible AI compliance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient GenAI solutions
Requirements:
* Around 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
* Strong experience in prompt engineering and LLM (large language model) orchestration
* Hands-on understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture and agent-based GenAI systems
* Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, validation techniques and responsible AI principles
* Experience with Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.) and orchestration tools (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel)
* Fluency in English
Nice to have:
* Experience working with Azure AI services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Search, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI)
* Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and API integration
* Exposure to large-scale enterprise environments and agile delivery
