Founded in 2022, EQWIN is a fast-growing startup reimagining the horse racing experience. Our app bridges the real and digital worlds, allowing users to create and manage their own virtual racing stables built from real racehorses whose value evolves with live performance.
With over 25,000 users in France and a recent acquisition by a U.S. investment fund (April 2025), we’re now preparing for international expansion.
Our mission: make horse racing modern, fun, and accessible to a new generation of fans.

Our technical stack:
Cloud: AWS stack (API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, SQS, PostgreSQL, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CloudFront)
Backend: Hasura (provide GraphQL), Lambda (Type Script), Java (microservices)
Database: PostgreSQL, Redis
API: GraphQL, REST
Mobile: React Native

A quick note for candidates:

Responsibilities:
Systematize the testing process from scratch
Select and operate with TMS system
Manual mobile testing (iOS, Android)
Manual web-app testing (UI, UX, DevTools, Usability)
Manual backend testing (contract testing – REST API, GraphQL)
Functional requirements testing, E2E testing (registration, KYC process, payment integrations, geolocation checks, application functions)
Non-Functional requirements testing (observability testing, SLO/SLA testing – logs and metrics
Design and execute test-cases and test-plans

Requirements (must-have):
5+ years in QA for web, mobile and back-end products
Experience in systematization test process from scratch
Experience with AWS stack: CloudWatch, X-Ray
Experience with DevTools for web-testing
Experience in mobile testing (iOS, Android)
Experience in REST API and GraphQL testing using Postman / Insomnia
Strong bug localization and defect reporting skills
English B2+: clear written bug reports / spec feedback and regular technical calls with external providers.

Nice to have:
Automation QA skills
Basic performance testing skills
Experience in Payments / FinTech or other regulated domains; testing card / ACH flows, 3-D Secure / SCA, refunds / chargebacks.
Exposure to geolocation and identity / age verification SDKs; understanding allow / deny logic and negative UX paths
Russian B2+: for technical calls

Terms:
Format: B2B (contractor), fully remote from any location.
Workload: start part-time with an option to transition to full-time as scope grows; part-time may be combined with other work subject to SLA and confidentiality.
Communications & schedule: 3-4 hours overlap with Europe / US for launch-related syncs and workshops.
Compensation: EUR by invoice, via SEPA / SWIFT or a licensed EMI; ability to receive payments from France to a B2B account is required.
