EXANTE is hiring a Senior Product Owner for their External APIs Product Team.
**Responsibilities:**
* Own the full product lifecycle for client-facing trading APIs.
* Define product roadmap, requirements, technical specifications, and success criteria.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistent API behavior and high performance across FIX, WebSocket, and HTTP interfaces.
* Maintain API documentation, protocol guidelines, and versioning standards.
* Work closely with backend, trading engines, and market data systems to ensure low-latency and reliable execution, API stability under high load, and backward compatibility.
* Support integration with client systems, liquidity providers, and trading partners.
* Ensure adherence to compliance, trading workflows, and best execution requirements.
* Monitor performance, usage, and reliability to guide continuous improvement.
* Communicate updates, roadmap status, and technical details to internal and external stakeholders.
**Qualifications:**
* 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in fintech or trading platforms.
* Extensive experience with trading APIs, including FIX Protocol (order flow, execution reports, sessions) and HTTP/REST and WebSocket APIs for trading, market data, and static data.
* Experience working with trading bridges/gateways, liquidity providers, and order routing systems.
* Strong understanding of order types, instrument types, execution logic, and rejection handling.
* Practical experience creating and maintaining API documentation.
**Domain Knowledge:**
* Trading experience is a strong advantage.
* Understanding of both traditional and crypto asset classes.
* Familiarity with OMS, EMS, market data, and static data concepts.
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, best execution) is a plus.
* Understanding of risk checks is an advantage.
**Collaboration & Process:**
* Ability to define product roadmaps, write structured technical specifications, and set clear priorities.
* Proven experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in complex, multi-technology environments.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
**Additional Requirements:**
* Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
* Fluent English.
**Nice to Have:**
* Integration experience with major exchanges or liquidity providers.
* Previous experience with trading APIs in a bank trading environment.
* Technical background in development or QA.
