**Job Description:**
Flat Rock Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. The role involves working with various data platform technologies, including SQL Server, Hadoop, ElasticSearch, and DynamoDB. Responsibilities include performing statistical analyses using R and Python, implementing large-scale predictive models using tools like Microsoft R Server and TensorFlow, and building microservices. The ideal candidate will have experience across the full modern application stack, from data transfer to statistical modeling to service development to UI. Collaboration with the Microsoft SQL Customer Advisory Team (SQLCAT) and Microsoft program managers is also expected. Participation in on-call rotation may be required.
**Requirements:**
* 2+ years of experience in a data-related field (e.g., database administrator, database engineer, data analyst, statistician, or data scientist).
* Graduate-level knowledge of statistics.
* Experience with the entire data science lifecycle.
* Familiarity with R or Python, particularly with data cleansing and modeling packages.
* Strong background in statistics and machine learning.
* Some familiarity with a broad base of data platform technologies.
