**Job Title:** Manual QA Engineer

**Job Description:**
* **Requirement Analysis:** Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to ensure a thorough understanding of the product and its testability.
* **Test Planning and Design:** Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
* **Test Execution:** Manually execute functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing on both web applications and Windows desktop software.
* **Cross-Platform/Browser Testing:** Perform compatibility testing across various web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and different Windows operating system versions to ensure consistent performance and user experience.
* **Defect Management:** Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects and issues using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Provide clear, concise bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels.
* **Collaboration:** Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to communicate findings, clarify issues, and verify bug fixes.
* **Documentation and Reporting:** Create and maintain accurate test documentation and generate detailed test reports and summaries for stakeholders.
* **Regression & UAT Support:** Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure new features or fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality. Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
* **Continuous Improvement:** Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
**Requirements:**
* **Experience:** Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role, with expertise in testing both web and Windows desktop applications.
* **Technical Skills:** Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Familiarity with basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an understanding of Windows environments.
* **Analytical Skills:** Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
* **Communication:** Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* **Tools:** Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
* **Adaptability:** Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* **Education:** A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is often preferred.
* Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and backend testing.
* Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester.
* Familiarity with API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman).
