The Senior Salesforce Software Engineer operates with limited oversight to architect, build, and sustain secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions using the latest Salesforce development platform. Works with other engineers, business analysts, and product owners to develop proofs of concept, interface designs/implementations, and architecture on Salesforce platform and related applications. Integrates other applications via our .NET Orchestration layer. Works with the team on integration projects, such as Salesforce Experience Cloud development and maintenance.

As an integral part of the Salesforce engineering team, this individual will help establish engineering standards, reusable patterns, unit testing standards, and drive platform reliability, performance, and data integrity. They will implement robust security controls aligning with our Salesforce Shield initiatives and mentor fellow engineers to elevate craftsmanship and operational excellence. They will contribute to successful refreshes, support strong DevSecOps practices in collaboration with our Security team, and sustain adherence to governance in our Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud (EUC) environment.

Additional Responsibilities:
Design & build secure, scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, and Flows.
Own solution architecture and reusable patterns: data models, interface contracts, performance, and accessibility.
Develop and enhance integrations (REST APIs, Named Credentials) with robust error handling and observability.
Lead CI/CD in Azure DevOps: branching strategy, automated tests, quality gates, release notes, and repeatable multi‑sandbox promotions.
Enforce engineering standards: code reviews, high unit test coverage, clean code, and documentation.
Implement Salesforce Shield controls (Platform Encryption, Event Monitoring, Field Audit Trail); remediate Health Check findings and uphold retention/access policies.
Govern elevated access (e.g., controlled “Login as User”) with least‑privilege and full auditability.
Monitor production and drive reliability: triage incidents, lead root‑cause analysis, preventive fixes, and meet performance SLAs.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with product owners, engineers, QA, vendors; decompose requirements, estimate, and deliver increments.
Provide training and clear “just enough” documentation, such as README files, brief ADRs for key decisions, sequence/ER diagrams, and interfaces to enable admins and developers.
Mentor and coach engineers on patterns, security, and DevOps best practices.
Evaluate new platform capabilities to simplify complex logic and reduce custom footprint.

Experience:
4-year degree in computer science, computer information systems or equivalent experience.
7+ years of developing software using Salesforce tools such as LWC, Apex, Flows, and other related tools.
Experience with designing schemas and queries for relational databases and web services (REST, JSON, SOAP).
Experience with data modification tools such as Salesforce Data Loader.
Experience in configuring reports and monitoring Salesforce performance.
Experience in object-oriented design and strong knowledge of core libraries and common design patterns.
Experience with working in Agile/fast-paced development environment.
Deadline oriented with proven task-completion record; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Possesses a track record of excellent performance, proactivity and exceptional work practices.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with C#.
Experience with DocuSign CLM, Salesforce Experience Cloud.
Experience with Azure DevOps Services, Git, and other project management tools.
Microsoft Azure, Git, CI/CD Tools, GitHub Copilot or other relevant AI technologies
Salesforce Shield, FLS/CRUD, Platform Encryption, Event Monitoring, Field Audit Trail, and enforcement flags

Atlanta, GA or Gainesville, FL

Physical Requirements:
Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation while performing computer-based tasks, conducting meetings, and collaborating with colleagues.
Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk within the office environment, such as when attending meetings, interacting with colleagues or external stakeholders, or visiting different departments.
Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry material, files, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, such as when organizing documents or setting up for meetings.

Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.

$111,794 – $124,946 USD
