Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional specializing in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. This position is remote.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js
Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Node.js development
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on Node.js
Strong proficiency in TypeScript
Experience with event-driven architecture and microservices
Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Experience with Copilot or similar tool
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Desired Skills (not required but a plus):
Familiarity with Docker and containerization
Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects showcasing your skills
