**Role Description:**
This is a full-time, remote-only position for a Senior DevOps Engineer. We are looking for a true senior-level DevOps engineer who combines deep cloud expertise with AI-native workflows and a strong automation mindset. This is not a classical DevOps role limited to CI/CD and infrastructure management. Modern DevOps goes far beyond the traditional stack. We expect someone who can step into any environment, analyze any codebase, understand complex architectures quickly, and make pragmatic, high-impact improvements. You should be comfortable navigating backend services, infrastructure repositories, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and observability stacks without hand-holding. The ability to automate everything that can be automated is core to this role. If a process is manual, repetitive, or fragile, you are expected to redesign and automate it properly. A strong focus on AWS is mandatory. You will design and operate production-grade cloud architectures, implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, manage Kubernetes environments, and ensure reliability, scalability, and security at scale. In addition, hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, CursorAI, or similar platforms is required. You should understand how to use AI effectively to accelerate development, improve infrastructure design, and optimize workflows. Experience building and operating AI agents for automation or engineering productivity is a strong advantage. However, AI tooling alone is not sufficient. We are hiring senior engineers only. If you are comfortable with AI tools but lack deep production experience in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and observability, this role is not a fit.
**Qualifications:**
**Mandatory Requirements:**
* Senior-level experience designing and operating production systems in AWS.
* Deep understanding of networking, IAM, security, high availability, and cost optimization.
* Strong, proven Terraform expertise. Infrastructure as Code is non-negotiable.
* Extensive Kubernetes experience in production environments, including cluster architecture, workloads, scaling, networking, and security.
* Strong knowledge of observability: metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, and incident response. Experience with modern monitoring stacks and distributed systems troubleshooting is required.
* Proven ability to build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows.
* Strong Linux system administration background.
* Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and system architectures and operate effectively across different stacks and environments.
* Clear automation-first mindset with experience eliminating manual operational work.
* Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, CursorAI, or similar.
* Solid understanding of how to integrate AI tools into DevOps workflows in a practical, production-oriented way.
* **Important: This is a senior position. Strong AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and observability experience is mandatory.**
* AI-native workflows are expected.
* Candidates without deep, production-grade DevOps experience should not apply.
**Additional Qualifications:**
* Experience with multi-account AWS environments and complex enterprise architectures.
* Experience working in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
