**Role Description:**
This is a full-time, remote-only position for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The role requires deep cloud expertise, AI-native workflows, and a strong automation mindset. The engineer will be expected to analyze codebases, understand complex architectures, and make impactful improvements. Responsibilities include designing and operating production-grade cloud architectures on AWS, implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, managing Kubernetes environments, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and optimizing workflows using AI is required.
**Mandatory Requirements:**
* Senior-level experience designing and operating production systems in AWS.
* Deep understanding of networking, IAM, security, high availability, and cost optimization.
* Proven Terraform expertise (Infrastructure as Code).
* Extensive Kubernetes experience in production environments.
* Strong knowledge of observability (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, incident response).
* Ability to build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong Linux system administration background.
* Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and systems.
* Automation-first mindset with experience eliminating manual operational work.
* Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, CursorAI).
* Solid understanding of integrating AI tools into DevOps workflows.
* Candidates must have deep, production-grade DevOps experience.
**Additional Qualifications:**
* Experience with multi-account AWS environments.
* Experience working in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
