**Job Title:** Backend Tech Lead (Remote, Contract)

**Job Description:**
INFUSE is seeking a “build and lead by doing” Backend Tech Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for defining architecture and standards, delivering features end-to-end, and consistently improving reliability, security, and delivery speed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Reliability, Security & Ops:**
* Harden CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
* Build and test containers, deploying via Helm to AWS (EKS or ECS).
* Implement lightweight bot protection, including rate limits, IP allowlists, and abuse detection.
* Manage observability using CloudWatch + Grafana, structured logging, and tracing where necessary.
* Conduct performance tuning for databases, caching strategies, queue throughput, and API response times.
* **Tech Lead Responsibilities:**
* Own architecture decisions, focusing on a pragmatic “simple first, scalable where it matters” approach.
* Drive code quality through reviews, standards, branching/release hygiene, and defining “done.”
* Break down work, provide reliable estimates, unblock the team, and align with the PM/BA on scope.
* Mentor engineers and foster a strong engineering culture centered on clarity and ownership.
**Required Stack:**
* **.NET**
* **PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB**
* **OpenAPI 3, GitHub Actions**
* **Queues & Scheduling:** SQS, EventBridge/Lambda, or Celery
* **Experience:**
* 3+ years building production systems.
* 2+ years in a lead or ownership role.
* Proven experience running systems in production, including CI/CD, Docker, monitoring, and incident management.
* Deep understanding of RBAC, session/auth flows, and basic security principles (OWASP-minded).
* Comfortable with async/event-driven patterns (queues, schedulers, retries, idempotency).
* Strong communication skills for documentation, articulating tradeoffs, and keeping stakeholders informed.
* **Languages:** Upper-intermediate English or higher; fluent Ukrainian and/or Russian.
**Nice-to-have:**
* Background in RPA, UiPath, browser automation, or similar automation-heavy environments.
* Experience with AI / ML / LLM-enabled products, data extraction, or workflow automation.
* Python backend experience (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
