**Job Title:** Full-Stack Tech Lead (Remote, Contract)
**Company:** INFUSE
**Location:** Georgia (Remote)
**Description:**
INFUSE is seeking a “build and lead by doing” Full-Stack Tech Lead. This role involves defining architecture and standards, delivering features end-to-end, and consistently improving reliability, security, and delivery speed.
**What You’ll Do:**
* Harden CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
* Build/test containers and deploy via Helm to AWS (EKS or ECS).
* Implement lightweight bot protection, including rate limits, IP allowlists, and abuse detection.
* Enhance observability through CloudWatch + Grafana, structured logging, and tracing.
* Optimize performance by tuning database indexes, caching strategies, queue throughput, and API response times.
**Responsibilities:**
* Make pragmatic architecture decisions, prioritizing simplicity and scalability where needed.
* Drive code quality through reviews, standards, and release hygiene.
* Break down work, provide reliable estimates, unblock the team, and align with product management and business analysts on scope.
* Mentor frontend and backend engineers and foster a strong engineering culture focused on clarity and ownership.
**Requirements:**
* Experience building backend systems with .NET in production.
* Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
* Practical experience with React (TypeScript, MUI).
* API design and maintenance using OpenAPI 3.
* CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions.
* Experience with queues and schedulers (e.g., SQS, EventBridge with Lambda, Celery).
* 3+ years of experience building production systems, with 2+ years in a lead or ownership role.
* Strong Python backend experience (Flask/FastAPI), including API design, authentication, and database modeling.
* Real-world experience running systems in production (CI/CD, Docker, AWS, monitoring, incident management).
* Deep understanding of RBAC, session/authentication flows, and basic security principles (OWASP-minded).
* Comfort with asynchronous and event-driven patterns (queues, schedulers, retries, idempotency).
* Ability to provide clear documentation, identify good tradeoffs, and keep stakeholders informed.
**Would be a plus:**
* Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
* Good React/TypeScript skills (component architecture, state management, UX for admin tools).
* Semantic search/retrieval experience (vector search, RAG patterns, ranking, evaluation).
* Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, pgvector, or similar search stacks.
* Familiarity with crawlers/scrapers, content pipelines, and anti-abuse patterns.
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK), multi-environment deployments, and feature flags.
* Experience designing audit trails, moderation/review workflows, and analytics events.
