Our systems are used daily by fleets, safety managers, and owner-operators, and reliability is critical to our operations.As we continue to expand our internal software platforms and automation infrastructure, we are looking to add a Senior Backend Developer who can help us build and scale production systems with long-term stability in mind.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.jsBuild and maintain REST APIs and webhook-based integrationsWork with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)Optimize system performance, reliability, and securityImplement background jobs, queues, and scheduled processesIntegrate third-party services and internal systemsImprove logging, monitoring, and error handlingReview code and contribute to backend architecture decisionsCollaborate with frontend developers and product stakeholdersAssist with frontend development when applicable (optional)Requirements5+ years of professional backend development experienceStrong production experience with Node.js (required)Experience designing and maintaining real-world APIsSolid understanding of asynchronous programming patternsExperience with database design, optimization, and migrationsKnowledge of authentication and authorization methods (JWT, OAuth)Familiarity with Git-based workflows and code reviewsAbility to work independently, take ownership, and deliver reliable codeStrong communication skills in a remote environmentNice to Have:Frontend experience with React, Next.js, or VueExperience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)Experience with SaaS or B2B platformsFamiliarity with logistics, trucking, or compliance-related softwareWhat We OfferPart-time position with flexible schedulingFully remote work environmentCompetitive compensation based on experienceDirect communication with decision-makersMeaningful work on systems used by real businessesHow to ApplyPlease send your CV along with a brief summary of your Node.js experience and any relevant projects.This role is intended for senior-level developers seeking flexibility.
