We are seeking a Middle+/Senior DevOps Engineer to join an international project focused on modernizing Oman’s national tax system.
The project aims to transition from a traditional, partially manual system administration to a fully automated, cloud-native infrastructure based on Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GitOps principles.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating a scalable, highly available infrastructure in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will also play a key role in automating delivery pipelines, observability, and production operations, including support for AI/ML components.
The position requires relocation to Oman, with full compensation for accommodation and transportation expenses.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer.
* Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
* Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
* Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
* Solid understanding and practical application of GitOps principles.
* Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
* Strong understanding of high-availability and scalable system design.
* Experience with monitoring and logging systems.
* Experience with monitoring and logging systems.
* Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
* Cloud Infrastructure Management (IaC).
* Compute, storage, and networking.
* Security and access control.
* Provision and manage cloud resources in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
* Ensure high availability and disaster recovery, including Data Guard–based DR scenarios.
Containerization and Orchestration:
* Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters based on Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
* Support containerized applications and services.
* Configure automatic scaling for nodes and workloads based on system load.
CI/CD and GitOps:
* Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Docker.
* Implement and evolve GitOps practices for declarative infrastructure and application management.
* Automate application and infrastructure deployments to Kubernetes.
MLOps and AI Support:
* Deploy validated AI/ML models in a containerized environment.
* Support infrastructure for model training, validation, and monitoring.
* Work with MLflow and related MLOps tooling.
Observability and Monitoring:
* Implement and maintain modern monitoring solutions.
* Prometheus for metrics collection.
* Grafana for visualization and alerting.
* Configure centralized logging using OCI Logging.
* Ensure system transparency and fast incident detection and response.
Security and Operations:
* Manage secrets, encryption keys, and certificates using OCI Vault.
* Participate in infrastructure hardening and API security activities.
* Optimize performance and manage patching and dependency updates.
* Support production environments and participate in incident analysis.
