**Job Title:** R&D Manager, Chemist (Perfumery)

**Key Responsibilities:**
* **New Product Development & Formulation (NPD):**
* Full-cycle creation of new perfume products, diffusers, and fragrance compositions, from concept to industrial launch.
* Optimization of existing formulas for improved stability, organoleptic properties, and cost efficiency.
* Research and evaluation of new ingredients and raw materials for implementation feasibility.
* **Adaptation of Formulas for International Markets:**
* Adaptation of formulas to meet requirements of new regions (IFRA, GCC, EU, local labeling and packaging restrictions).
* Collaboration with Regulatory Affairs for export-import documentation and registration procedures.
* **Quality Control & Stability:**
* Ensure product quality stability with a defect/return rate ≤ 2% of output volume.
* Conduct stability tests, physicochemical and microbiological analyses, and monitor compliance with international cosmetic regulations.
* Define and oversee quality standards throughout production.
* **Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration:**
* Coordinate with Marketing, Production, Purchasing, and Regulatory departments for seamless new product launches.
* Manage development projects, meeting deadlines (Time-to-Market) and budget constraints.
* Provide technical cooperation with raw material suppliers, factories, and external laboratories.
* **Cost Optimization & Innovation:**
* Achieve annual unit cost reduction without compromising quality or fragrance identity.
* Source alternative suppliers and conduct supplier benchmarking.
* Implement new technologies, alternative manufacturing processes, and innovative solutions.
* **Documentation & Regulatory Compliance:**
* Maintain technical documentation and formula files according to ISO 22716 / GMP.
* Ensure 100% batch traceability with readable batch codes and production dates.
**Requirements:**
* **Experience:**
* Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (perfumery, cosmetics).
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chemist / Technologist, R&D Manager, or similar in the perfumery or cosmetics industry.
* Proven track record of full-cycle new product launches.
* Experience adapting formulas to different market requirements (IFRA, EU, GCC, etc.).
* Experience in cost-optimization projects and working with alternative raw material suppliers.
* Experience with batch traceability systems and quality control.
* **Skills and Competencies:**
* Deep knowledge of perfume raw materials, production technology, and stability assessment methods.
* Understanding of international regulatory requirements (IFRA, REACH, EU Cosmetic Regulation, labeling).
* Systemic thinking, data analysis, and financial indicator management (cost, project ROI).
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various departments and external partners.
* Leadership qualities to drive projects and make decisions in formulation development and raw material selection.
* Fluent Russian (for working with colleagues from Kazakhstan).
* English at least at an Intermediate level (for technical documentation and supplier communication).
