**Responsibilities:**

* Respond to and address customer repair requests.
* Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
* Perform preventative maintenance on kitchen tools, equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
* Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machinery.
* Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radios).
* Identify, locate, and operate all equipment shut-off valves and all utility controls.
* Maintain required inventory for maintenance and order necessary parts and supplies.
* Communicate activities and problems that occur each day to other teams using approved communication standards and programs.
* Possess basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishes, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building envelopes.
* Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor repairs to drywall and woodwork, replacement of light bulbs and A/C filters, and thorough cleaning of paint or repair areas.
* Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclogging toilets and drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuums, internet equipment, replace switches and electrical outlets, and other guest room items.
* Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
* Utilize the lockout/tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
* Perform repairs to interior and exterior landscaping and exterior sprinkler systems.
* Possess basic computer skills, including entering air handler schedules and performing temperature changes.
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Report maintenance problems, unsafe working conditions, accidents, and injuries.
* Successfully complete safety training and certifications.
* Store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.
* Ensure uniform is clean and complete.
* Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
* Maintain confidentiality in the dissemination of banner and/or hotel property information.
* Protect all company property.
* Welcome and greet all guests according to company standards.
* Anticipate and address guest service needs.
* Assist disabled individuals.
* Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
* Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
* Develop positive and constructive working relationships with colleagues.
* Unite and help employees to achieve common goals.
* Listen and respond with appropriate sensitivity to other employees’ concerns.
* Use clear and concise communication.
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds (22.7 kg) without assistance.
* Ascend and descend stairs, ramps, and service ladders.
* Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
* Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
* Perform other reasonably requested employment duties.

**Recommended Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or GED equivalent and/or technical/vocational training recommended.
* Related work experience in general maintenance, interior and exterior surface preparation and painting.
* Hotel/Resort maintenance/engineering experience is a plus.
* No supervisory experience required.

**Required Qualifications:**

* Valid driver’s license.
