**The Opportunity:**
MIGx is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their Data and AI Engineering team. This role involves building secure, scalable systems that integrate frontend user experiences with robust backend architectures for life sciences data and AI applications. The engineer will collaborate with Data Engineers and AI Engineers to create API-driven architectures and intuitive user interfaces.
**Responsibilities:**
* Design and develop responsive web applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Build and maintain well-documented, testable RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
* Implement API-centric architectures for scalable and maintainable applications.
* Apply software engineering best practices (SOLID principles, DRY, clean code, error handling, testing).
* Create intuitive user interfaces to present complex data and AI insights.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
* Apply security best practices across the full stack.
* Implement code review processes, documentation standards, and maintain code quality.
* Deploy and operate across cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) using infrastructure as code.
* Champion observability practices (logging, metrics, monitoring).
* Participate in peer reviews, architecture sessions, and agile ceremonies.
**Requirements – Must have:**
* Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Experience with Python-based backend frameworks (FastAPI or Flask).
* Strong understanding of RESTful API design and API-centric architectures.
* Proven experience applying engineering best practices (clean code, SOLID, testing, documentation).
* Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation tools.
* Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
* Understanding of security fundamentals and cloud-native environments.
* Experience with version control best practices and collaborative development.
* Team-first mindset and experience in agile environments.
* Professional working proficiency in English.
**Requirements – Nice to have:**
* Experience with Next.js.
* Knowledge of graph databases.
* Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand).
* Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes, OpenAPI, OAuth2/JWT.
* Familiarity with observability tooling and frontend testing frameworks.
* Experience with enterprise frameworks like SAFe.
* Understanding of GxP guidelines and regulated life sciences environments.
* Collaboration experience with Data Engineers or AI/ML Engineers.
* Understanding of regulated environments (life sciences, healthcare).
**Seniority Level:** 3-7 years of experience
**Language Proficiency:** B2+
