A mission-driven Israeli health-tech startup is working to build a smart, digital, and affordable HMO in the US. The company is developing a comprehensive healthcare solution that combines both medical services and health insurance, with a strong focus on reducing healthcare costs through proactive member health management.
Their digital platform allows members to manage their health easily — from video calls with doctors and receiving prescriptions and referrals via the app, to tracking lab results and much more. The goal is to empower users with personalized insights that support healthier lifestyles and help prevent medical issues before they arise.
To support this mission, we are looking for a QA Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright).
* Experience integrating and utilizing AI-based tools to develop intelligent automation solutions for frontend and database testing.
* Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for front-end and back-end systems, including mobile applications, ensuring all features function as intended.
* Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential usability issues.
* Use SQL queries to validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across databases.
* Work closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality test coverage.
* Communicate findings, defects, and test results clearly and effectively to team members and management.
* Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Monday.
* Provide clear and concise defect reports, including steps to reproduce, expected vs actual behavior, and screenshots or logs.
* Apply critical thinking and attention to detail to quickly identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in writing and maintaining automated tests using test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, Selenium, with a strong command in Python.
* hands-on experience in executing manual test cases, identifying bugs, and validating software functionality across various platforms.
* Strong proficiency with SQL for database validation and testing.
* Strong ability to analyze requirements, identify testing needs, and troubleshoot complex issues.
* Strong experience in writing test scenarios, test cases from the requirements
* An experience in migrating Selenium scripts to Playwright will be appreciated
* Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand how software components interact.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to document and explain defects, test results, and progress updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Team player – willing to collaborate and work closely with other team members and also work as an independent, confidently taking decisions.
* Experience working with startups remotely
