Role Overview
As a Senior Python Engineer, you will build and maintain the core APIs, services, and data pipelines powering the platform. You’ll work closely with AI/ML teams and ensure performance, scalability, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs
* Design scalable database schemas and optimise SQL queries
* Build data ingestion pipelines, event-driven processes, and webhooks
* Support AI agent workflows and LLM integrations
* Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
* Optimise system performance and participate in on-call rotations
* Write clean, well-tested Python code and contribute to documentation
Requirements
* 5+ years backend engineering experience
* Strong Python skills (FastAPI/Flask/Django)
* Deep knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
* Experience building production-grade REST APIs
* Cloud experience (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure accepted)
* Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
* Experience integrating third-party APIs
* Familiarity with GenAI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
