About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of our digital banking platforms through thorough manual testing. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced fintech environment, help define QA processes from the ground up, and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business teams to deliver world-class banking experiences.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end manual testing of online banking and fintech platforms
Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across web and mobile banking applications
Validate core banking workflows such as:
User onboarding and KYC flows
Payments, transfers, and transaction processing
Account management, cards, and lending features
Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or similar
Verify data integrity across frontend, backend
Test integrations with third-party services including payment gateways, identity providers, and fraud detection systems
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards ( AML, KYC, GDPR)
Perform security-aware testing with focus on authorization, authentication, and role-based access
Actively participate in requirements analysis, grooming, and sprint planning
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders
Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices
Requirements
Experience in manual QA, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Hands-on experience testing financial systems and transaction-based applications
Solid knowledge of:
Banking and payment concepts
REST APIs and HTTP protocols
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, TestRail or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent documentation and communication skills
High attention to detail and risk-based testing mindset
Nice to Have
Experience in digital or neobank platforms
Exposure to mobile app testing (iOS and Android)
Basic understanding of automation testing concepts
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines from a QA perspective
Familiarity with cloud environments and microservices architectures
