**About the role**
You will help design, build, and productionize the models and systems behind Quissly’s product discovery stack. Your work will span retrieval and ranking, multimodal embeddings, and agentic workflows that power QSearch and QChat. You will run fast experiments, measure impact, and ship improvements that move conversion metrics for retailers.
**What you will do**
* Implement and evaluate retrieval and ranking pipelines for text and images
* Train or fine-tune embedding models and classifiers for fashion and retail data
* Build prompts, tools, and orchestration for agentic chat workflows and clarifying questions
* Add telemetry for offline evals and online A-B tests with clear success metrics
* Optimize latency and cost through batching, quantization, caching, and smart fallbacks
* Collaborate with frontend and backend to integrate models via clean APIs
* Document experiments and create reproducible notebooks and benchmarks
**What you will bring**
* 2+ years in applied ML or AI engineering, or strong research internships with production exposure
* Hands-on with vector search or ANN libraries, embeddings, and similarity metrics
* Practical LLM experience: prompt design, tool use, function calling, agentic workflows and evaluation
* Comfort with data handling and evaluation design for ranking and chat systems
* High standards for writing clean and production ready code
**Nice to have**
* Experience with quantization, distillation, or low-bit inference
* Retrieval augmented generation and query understanding for e-commerce
* Familiarity with FastAPI, Redis, Postgres, and basic MLOps on cloud platforms
**Location and work mode**
* Hybrid in Tbilisi, Georgia. On-site collaboration several days per week, remote-friendly otherwise.
