We are looking for a person who will lead the engineering efforts behind our core banking backend. We want someone with hands-on experience building and operating distributed backend systems. Our future colleague should be comfortable making architectural decisions, debugging production issues, scaling services, and mentoring teams on engineering best practices.
Our current **stack** includes: AWS EKS, Java (Spring Boot), MySQL, Kafka, Redis, Grafana – Prometheus.
**Requirements**
* Solid background in Java backend development, ideally with a hands-on experience before stepping into leadership
* Experience in building banking products before – ideally in retail banking or fintech
* Ability to collaborate closely with Product team on shaping the roadmap, understanding regulatory constraints, and ensuring what we build is not just technically solid but also commercially relevant
* Prior experience working in regulated environments is a plus, as is any exposure to core banking systems (ledgering, payments, cards, etc.)
* Fluent Russian and English languages
