An exciting opportunity to join our client’s team at a leading provider of high-performance edge and cloud solutions for the media and entertainment industry. We are looking for a Storage Engineer (Ceph) to join this organization.
**Main objectives**
Join the Edge Cloud Team to operate, optimize, and innovate SDS platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability for Gcore’s cutting-edge cloud services.
**Responsibilities**
* Operating and optimizing SDS platforms, including Ceph, Linstor.
* Deploying, configuring, and rigorously testing SDS solutions in both production and staging environments, promptly addressing incidents and emergencies.
* Crafting and implementing comprehensive monitoring strategies for SDS storage systems to ensure peak performance.
* Exceeding SLA (Service Level Agreement) requirements for specific SDS deployments.
* Collaborating closely with the infrastructure team to design and implement efficient backup mechanisms.
**Requirements**
* A solid intermediate level of Linux proficiency with 4-6 years of experience.
* Proven track record of successfully managing production Ceph clusters while meeting SLA commitments.
* In-depth understanding of the S3 protocol and its associated features.
* Strong multitasking skills and effective time management abilities.
* Proficient English language skills at least upper Intermediate level.
