**Job Description:**
Singular is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multiple teams and work closely with team leaders. The role involves mentoring team leads and engineers, ensuring technical excellence, user experience, and product quality. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for teams delivering on the tribe’s roadmap and aligning with Singular’s Vision & Mission.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **Engineering People Management:**
* Participate in the recruitment process for engineers.
* Guide and mentor team leads and their teams, managing skills gaps.
* Directly manage Team Leads, including 1-to-1s, performance management, and probation.
* Manage multiple teams, directly or through other leaders.
* Develop and motivate team members through clear direction, learning opportunities, and coaching.
* Define and maintain team structure aligned with a culture of “small autonomous agile teams”.
* Manage team budgets for training, travel, and team building.
* **Foster a Sustainable & Scalable Engineering Culture:**
* Promote and prioritize engineering best practices within squads.
* Monitor team well-being and performance.
* Manage technical debt, evolve coding practices, and address code risks.
* Contribute to framework & language choices, development build, and deployment tooling.
* Ensure adherence to the Tribe’s technology principles and SDLC.
* Ensure teams are set up and delivering on their roadmap, aligned with Singular’s Vision & Mission.
* Liaise with Operations teams to ensure timely resolution of problems and incidents.
* **Champion Quality and Continuous Improvement:**
* Collaborate with Team Leads, Test Managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
* Ensure regular demos and knowledge sharing sessions are held.
* Measure team performance through KPIs, clear goals, and metrics.
* Provide technical expertise in incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident decisions.
* Continuously improve engineering processes, team skills, delivery predictability, and operational awareness.
* Perform related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

* **Working Experience:**
* 3+ Years of experience in a leadership role.
* 5+ Years of experience in a senior software engineering position.
* Experience mentoring people in engineering teams.
* Experience working with SaaS products.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technology domain.
* **Standard Qualifications:**
* Good understanding of agile and scrum methodologies.
* Experience defining goals and targets through KPIs.
* Experience tracking relevant agile metrics.
* Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA & Confluence).
* Advanced English Language proficiency.
* **Preferable Qualifications:**
* Experience working with OKRs.
* Basic knowledge of human psychology.
* Knowledge of SAFe framework.
* Business-specific experience/domain knowledge.
