Skrib is building an AI-powered workspace for creators. They are an early-stage startup with initial funding and an MVP.
**Role Overview:**
Skrib is seeking an experienced Mid-Senior AI Engineer to architect the AI engine of their platform. This role involves designing agentic workflows, building hybrid retrieval systems, and deploying production-grade AI logic.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and maintain Python-based services and backend architectures integrating AI models.
* Design and build agentic AI systems for tool use, multi-step reasoning, and workflow execution.
* Design and scale hybrid retrieval systems combining Vector Search with Knowledge Graphs (Neo4j).
* Deploy LLMs and RAG pipelines into production, ensuring high availability and low latency.
* Debug complex system issues and optimize the AI stack (context management, inference speed, retrieval accuracy).
* Drive feature development end-to-end, from technical design to implementation, handling unstructured data.
**Qualifications:**
* Strong proficiency in Python and backend development.
* Proven experience deploying LLMs and AI applications in production.
* Hands-on experience designing and building agentic systems.
* Solid experience with RAG systems, Vector Databases, and Neo4j (or similar graph databases).
* Startup mindset: high ownership, comfort in fast-paced environments, ability to work independently.
* Ability to design, build, and ship features independently.
* **MUST HAVE:** Python proficiency, production LLM experience, RAG/Graph (Neo4j) experience, agentic AI experience, availability to overlap working hours with GMT+1 (Prague) and GMT+4 (Tbilisi), excellent communication skills.
* **PREFERRED:** Experience scaling hybrid retrieval systems, familiarity with orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex), advanced RAG techniques, FastAPI/Flask experience, a portfolio or GitHub repository, ability to start immediately.
