**Job Title:** Software Engineer in Test – Relocation to Bulgaria Required

**Job Description:**
We are looking for an engineer who views testing as a code-first discipline, moving away from siloed QA processes towards a modern engineering culture where tests live alongside the code. You will be the architect of our entire Quality Infrastructure, building a robust, TypeScript-based testing framework and the necessary tooling to support testing at all levels (Unit, Integration, E2E).
**Duties and Opportunities:**
* Architecting and building a modern, scalable test automation framework from scratch using TypeScript.
* Implementing tools for all layers of the testing pyramid: Unit (configuring runners), Integration (API), and E2E (UI).
* Championing the “Tests alongside Code” philosophy, ensuring developer-friendly setup that integrates seamlessly into the dev workflow.
* Creating fixtures, mocks, and helpers to facilitate easy test writing and running for developers.
* Integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) for rapid feedback loops.
* Mentoring the development team on testing best practices and writing testable code.
**Requirements:**
* Expertise in TypeScript, with a focus on production-quality test code, generics, interfaces, and strict typing for clean, reusable architecture.
* 3+ years of experience building automation frameworks from the ground up, with an understanding of modern patterns beyond basic Page Object Model.
* Comfort with testing microservices, working with REST/GraphQL, and mocking dependencies.
* DevOps skills, including setting up Docker containers for tests and debugging CI pipelines.
* A proactive mindset focused on preventing bugs through improved tooling.
**Nice to Have:**
* Experience with Contract Testing.
* Understanding of Backend and Frontend frameworks beyond just testing them.
