## STB Union is hiring a Java Backend Engineer (Russian) in Georgia
**Company Description:**

**Role Description:**
This is a full-time Backend Engineer role at STB Union, offering flexible remote work arrangements. Candidates must have overlapping working hours with time zone GMT+3 for at least 6 hours daily.
**Required Qualifications:**
* 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Java Backend Engineer
* Experience with developing new features and refactoring legacy code
* Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Git (GitLab/GitHub)
* Experience with AWS services (ECS/SQS/RDS), databases and data flows (PostgreSQL)
* Fluent in Russian and English (both verbal and written communication)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with Linux and network administration
* Experience in fintech or banking sectors
* Experience with Vertx framework
* Experience with Kubernetes
* Experience with more than one programming language
**Core Responsibilities:**
* Developing and maintaining Java-based microservices and backend applications
* Leading end-to-end feature delivery together with Product/QA/DevOps teams
* Designing and implementing scalable solutions for complex business problems
* Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
* Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
* Contributing to technical architecture decisions and system design
* Collaborating with a distributed team
* Monitoring and maintaining production systems
* Implementing best practices for security and performance
**Tech Stack:**
Java/Kotlin/Vert.x, AWS (ECS, SQS/SNS, S3, ElastiCache), PostgreSQL, Terraform, GitLab, Docker, K8s, Grafana, Angular, React Native.
**Language Requirement Note:**
This position requires fluency in Russian and English due to team composition and business requirements.
