Job Description:
As the Digital Banking Development Tribe Tech Lead, you will define and execute the technological vision and strategy for the Digital Banking Development Tribe. In close collaboration with the Tribe Lead, you will foster an environment where teams deliver high-quality, innovative solutions efficiently and in alignment with business objectives. You will drive technical excellence, mentor teams, and ensure the stability and scalability of our digital banking platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and implement the tribe’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and TBC Bank’s overall tech vision.
* Lead the delivery of sustainable, high-quality software solutions, enforcing best practices in SDLC, architecture, and CI/CD.
* Oversee incident and problem management, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
* Mentor and support teams and Product Tech Leads, facilitating knowledge sharing and regular feedback.
* Lead the development of high-level technical solutions, manage dependencies, assess risks, and ensure technical feasibility.
* Actively contribute to the Tech Leads Guild and participate in cross-tribe technology initiatives.
* Collaborate with stakeholders (Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Area Leads, Domain Experts) to ensure shared understanding of vision, goals, and priorities.
* Communicate the tribe’s technology strategy internally and externally.
Coverage Areas:
* SDLC: Ensure timely and impactful delivery, support release planning, and drive iterative delivery processes.
* Architecture: Make technical debt visible and ensure it is managed within product backlogs.
* Incident & Problem Management: Maintain service and system stability and quality.
* Technology Fitness: Monitor and improve the technical health of products.
* CI/CD: Promote high standards in architecture, tooling, and competencies to enable continuous integration and delivery.
Success Criteria:
* Achievement of tribe and CoE KPIs/OKRs.
* Speed and quality of delivery within the tribe.
* Stability and improvement of technical health metrics.
Qualifications:
Experience:
* 10+ years in the IT industry, with a proven track record of managing large teams and large-scale projects.
* Experience in strategic planning and execution, including contracting, negotiation, and change management.
* Proven experience in tech solutioning or providing/selling IT services and/or resources to enterprises.
* Demonstrated success in software system delivery as an individual contributor, team leader, and/or development manager.
Technical Skills:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of modern technologies and architecture, including cloud computing, web services, data analytics, mobile platforms, and open-source trends.
* Deep knowledge of DevOps practices and culture.
* Experience with agile software development processes and best practices.
* Familiarity with network management, data center operations, and information security.

* Strong leadership abilities with a proven record of managing and motivating diverse technical teams.
* Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and implementation skills.
* High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Georgian and English.
* Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
