Senior Frontend Engineer (React Native)
We’re building VertoX, an AI-powered real-time voice translation and communication platform.
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (React Native) to take ownership of our mobile applications (iOS & Android) and work closely with Backend and AI/ML engineers on real-time, voice-driven features.
This is a core team role, not a contract position.
What you’ll do
Architect, build, and ship production-grade iOS & Android apps using React Native
Own the entire mobile frontend (architecture, performance, quality)
Implement real-time features: live audio, streaming, translation UI, voice messages
Integrate complex APIs (REST, WebSockets, streaming endpoints)
Collaborate daily with Backend & AI/ML engineers on latency-sensitive features
Optimize performance (memory, CPU, battery, startup time)
Ensure App Store & Google Play readiness (builds, releases, updates)
Make technical decisions and help define the product UX together with the team
What we’re looking for
6+ years of professional frontend experience
4+ years of hands-on React Native in production
Expert knowledge of JavaScript & TypeScript
Strong understanding of mobile app architecture
Deep experience with:
State management (Redux, Zustand, MobX or similar)
API integration (REST, WebSockets)
Async flows and real-time updates
Experience with performance optimization on mobile
Experience publishing and maintaining apps on App Store & Google Play
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of features
Required technical knowledge
React Native internals & performance tuning
iOS & Android platform differences
Mobile debugging & profiling
Secure handling of auth, tokens, and user data
Clean, maintainable, scalable code practices
Big plus
Experience with real-time audio/voice/streaming apps
Experience working on AI-powered products
Familiarity with WebRTC or audio pipelines
Understanding of backend concepts (FastAPI, Node, WebSockets)
