**Company Description:**

Vocabulous US Inc. owns and operates the Word of the Day app, a platform designed to make vocabulary-building engaging and accessible. Our mission is to sharpen minds through the power of words.

**Role Description:**

The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for applying design thinking to enhance the user experience, creating visual designs, and developing prototypes. The primary focus of the role is to create an intuitive and engaging user experience for the Word of the Day app.

**Responsibilities:**

* Design intuitive mobile app interfaces in Figma
* Ensure designs align with iOS design guidelines and optimize for mobile platforms
* Develop and maintain design systems for consistency across the product
* Collaborate with developers to implement designs

**Requirements:**

* Proven experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio of mobile app designs
* Proficiency in Figma and knowledge of iOS design principles
* Experience with design systems and creating cohesive UI components
* Strong understanding of user-centered design and UX best practices
* Ability to work independently and remotely

**Additional Requirements:**

* **Strong Product Thinking:** Ability to deeply understand product goals, user needs, and business constraints. You should be able to translate high-level product ideas into clear, actionable design concepts.
* **Proactive & Independent:** Rather than waiting for detailed specifications, you can “scrap my brain” — extract intent, ask the right questions, and propose design solutions that address the underlying problem.
* **Initiative-Driven:** Comfortable exploring multiple approaches, even beyond the initial suggestion, and offering alternatives when a different solution delivers a better user or business outcome.
* **Agile & Collaborative:** Able to iterate quickly, respond to feedback, and work closely with a product owner/CTO to shape features from concept to implementation.
* **Business-Aware:** Understands how design decisions impact engagement, retention, monetization, and overall product strategy.

**Good to Know:**

* Understanding of SwiftUI
