Weavr is a fintech company that simplifies embedding financial services into software. We have recently acquired an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license to serve European customers and are expanding our payment capabilities. **Engineering at Weavr:**
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to enhance our embedded banking and payments platform. You will contribute to developing innovative technologies that make integrating banking and payments services seamless. We operate with an agile mindset, prioritizing fast and efficient delivery of solutions. **About You:**
While we appreciate a broad range of experiences, we value potential and passion highly. If you don’t meet every specific requirement, please still consider applying. We are looking for someone with:
* Extensive Java engineering experience, including design patterns and frameworks like Spring/Micronaut.
* 5+ years of relevant experience.
* Strong communication skills, including technical documentation, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Proficiency in Java and associated technologies like the Spring framework.
* Advanced knowledge of software design patterns.
* Experience with microservice architectures and related technologies (Micronaut/Spring Boot, REST, Kafka/message brokers).
* Commitment to best engineering practices, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions following SOLID principles.
**Desirable skills:**
* Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
* Experience in payments, fintech, or regulated industries.
* Knowledge of the Micronaut framework.
* Experience with reactive programming.
* Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, jOOQ, Flyway.
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Understanding of security best practices in financial services.
