**Role Overview:**
We are currently seeking a qualified **Civil Engineer with a strong background in wind turbine foundation construction** to serve as the on-site Owner’s Engineer for a **large-scale wind power project in Georgia**. This position is instrumental in ensuring that all civil engineering activities related to turbine foundations are delivered in compliance with design specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Act as the on-site civil engineering lead for foundation construction, ensuring technical excellence and project alignment.
* Oversee day-to-day construction activities and verify that work adheres to design documents, safety protocols, and quality expectations.
* Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and the broader project team to resolve technical challenges and ensure seamless execution.
* Conduct routine site assessments and implement quality control procedures.
* Confirm that foundation works fully comply with Georgian construction codes and legal requirements.
* Maintain comprehensive technical records and produce regular site activity reports.
* Attend coordination meetings and serve as a reliable point of contact between the client and the engineering team.
* Identify potential engineering or execution risks and suggest practical mitigation measures.
* Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the construction phase.
**Candidate Profile – Required Qualifications:**
* A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree is an asset).
* At least 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to wind turbine foundation construction.
* Thorough understanding of Georgian construction regulations and permitting processes.
* Previous involvement in utility-scale wind energy projects.
* Strong foundation in geotechnical engineering and structural design for wind turbine bases.
* Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
* Effective communicator, fluent in both Georgian and English, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
* Flexibility and commitment to being present on-site for extended durations.
* Valid professional engineering license or certification recognized in Georgia.
* Experience with concrete mix design, quality control measures, and foundation load testing.
* Background in a supervisory role, ideally as an Owner’s Engineer or similar.
* Familiarity with international wind energy codes and practices (e.g., IEC, ISO standards).
