Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer (Contract – 6 Months)

This role is part of a large-scale digital transformation program delivered by Xenon7, in partnership with one of Egypt’s leading banks.
Xenon7 works closely with top-tier banks and enterprises to modernize technology platforms, enhance system reliability, and elevate digital capabilities. The selected candidate will join a mission-critical banking environment, operating at enterprise scale and within regulated frameworks.
Engagement Details
Client: Leading bank (banking / fintech domain)
Contract duration: 6 months
Working hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Engagement type: Contractor
Compensation: Hourly rate, calculated and paid on a monthly basis
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior or Lead DevOps Engineer to support and evolve the bank’s DevOps and platform capabilities. The role requires strong hands-on expertise, ownership mindset, and prior experience working in banking or fintech environments.
Technical Environment
Azure DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
Kubernetes / OpenShift
GitOps using ArgoCD
Helm
Monitoring & observability with Grafana and Prometheus
Logging stack (EFK – Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana)
Requirements
5+ years of experience in DevOps
Previous experience in banking or fintech environments (mandatory)
Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and OpenShift
Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Practical experience with GitOps and ArgoCD
Solid understanding of monitoring, observability, and logging in production systems
Ability to work independently and take ownership in enterprise environments
